CardHub: What It Is and What You Need to Do

Man seated at table holding smartphone and debit card in hand

Your debit card goes with you to the grocery store, the gas station, and the ballpark concession stand. Now, you can manage it from your phone, too.

CardHub is the card management tool available through the F&M Bank mobile app. It lets you lock your card, set spending limits, and receive alerts when something looks off.

Below, we explain what CardHub is, what current CardValet users need to know, and how to use its everyday card-management features.

What Is CardHub?

CardHub is F&M Bank’s card management tool. You can use it to:

  • Lock and unlock your debit card
  • Set spending limits
  • Get card-use alerts and fraud notifications
  • Report a lost or stolen card
  • Add your card to Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay

CardHub gives you more control over your card and lets you act quickly when something doesn’t look right.

Good to know: Calling us or stopping by an office is still always an option. CardHub just means you don’t have to wait for business hours to lock a card that’s gone missing.

Do I Need to Do Anything to Start Using CardHub?

CardHub has been available since October 1, 2026, for all F&M Bank personal banking customers. For most customers, getting started takes only a few minutes. What you need to do depends on how you currently manage your accounts:

If you already use our mobile banking app

For most customers, updated terms and conditions will appear the next time you log in. Accept them, then tap "Cards" to open CardHub. If you don't see the update, depending on your phone's settings, you may need to download the latest version of the app.

If you currently use CardValet

F&M Bank is transitioning from CardValet to CardHub. We’ll share more details about the transition soon.

If you don’t use mobile banking yet

You’ll need to enroll in online banking first. You can then use the same username and password to log in to the mobile banking app.

What Can You Do With CardHub?

Lock a Misplaced Debit Card

How do I lock my debit card if I can’t find it?
Open the app, tap “Cards,” choose your card, and turn the card off. New purchases will be declined while the card is locked. If your card turns up, turn it back on and use it as usual.

Locking your card is a temporary pause. It doesn’t cancel the card or change your card number.

For example: Say you can’t find your card after a trip to the grocery store. Maybe it’s in your coat pocket, or maybe it’s still at the checkout. You can lock it from the parking lot, look around, and turn it back on once you find it. There’s no need to order a new card for a false alarm.

Report a Lost or Stolen Card

What should I do if my debit card is lost or stolen?
If you believe your card is truly gone or has been stolen, report it through CardHub and contact F&M Bank to request a replacement.

  1. Tap “Cards” and choose the affected card.
  2. Tap “Manage Card.”
  3. Tap “Report Lost or Stolen.”
  4. Choose “Lost” or “Stolen,” add any additional notes, and tap “Next.”
  5. Review the confirmation and tap "Continue" to turn off the card.
  6. Tap “Contact Us” to call F&M Bank, report any transactions you don’t recognize, and request a replacement card.

If your card goes missing after business hours, turn it off in the app right away. Then contact us when we open so we can help you with next steps.

Keep in mind: Reporting a card lost or stolen is different from temporarily locking it. Once you report the card, it can’t be turned back on, and we’ll issue you a replacement card.

Recurring payments that you previously authorized may continue to be approved after the card is turned off. If you’re concerned about a particular payment, contact F&M Bank for help.

Set Spending Limits

CardHub lets you set a per-transaction spending limit. When the control is turned on, a purchase that exceeds the amount you entered will be declined.

This works well if you’re trying to stick to a monthly budget or if you’ve given a teenager a card and want to set guardrails.

To set a limit, open “Controls & Alerts,” select “Spend Limits,” turn on the per-transaction control, enter the amount, and tap “Apply.”

Choose Card Controls and Alerts

Card controls let you decide where and how your card can be used. You can manage purchases based on:

  • Location
  • Merchant type, such as gas stations, grocery stores, or restaurants
  • Transaction type, such as in-store, online, recurring, or ATM transactions
  • International use
  • Purchase amount

For example, you can choose which transaction or merchant types to allow, prevent purchases above a set amount, or block international in-store transactions when you aren’t traveling.

Some location controls may also let you limit in-store transactions based on your phone’s location or selected geographic regions.

Set Card Alerts

Alerts work alongside your card controls. You can choose when you want to be notified about card activity, which helps you notice an unfamiliar transaction sooner instead of waiting until you review your statement.

Helpful reminder: CardHub alerts are useful, but they don’t replace regularly reviewing your account activity. If you see a transaction you don’t recognize, turn off your card if appropriate and contact the bank.

Review Your Spending

CardHub’s spending insights show where your money is going. You can review your transactions by:

  • What: See spending organized by category.
  • When: Review spending by month.
  • Where: See transaction locations on a map.

You can also select an individual transaction to review available details, such as the merchant’s name, location, and contact information.

Add a Travel Plan

If you’re getting ready for a trip, you can add a travel plan in CardHub to let the bank know where and when you’ll be traveling.

  1. Tap “Manage Card.”
  2. Tap “Manage Travel Plans.”
  3. Tap “Add Travel Plan.”
  4. Add the countries or U.S. states you’ll visit.
  5. Enter your departure and return dates.
  6. Tap “Submit.”

Travel plan limits: You can add up to two travel plans per card and include as many as 15 domestic or international destinations in each plan. Each travel plan can cover up to 15 days. Once submitted, a travel plan can be edited or deleted.

View Cards on File and Recurring Payments

CardHub can help you see which merchants may have stored your card information.

  • “Card on File” shows merchants that have saved your card for future purchases, such as online stores or rideshare services.
  • “Recurring Payments” shows merchants that have stored your card for subscriptions and regular payments, such as streaming services or utilities.

You can select a merchant to review available contact information and recent transactions. This can make it easier to recognize a subscription you forgot about or review a charge from a business you don’t immediately recognize.

Add Your Debit Card to a Digital Wallet

How do I add my debit card to Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay?

  1. Open the F&M Bank app and tap “Cards.”
  2. Choose the card you want to add.
  3. Tap the Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay icon.
  4. Tap “Add to Wallet.”
  5. Review the card information, which should be filled in automatically.
  6. Tap “Next” and follow the prompts.
  7. When the confirmation screen appears, tap “Done” to return to the F&M Bank app.

Once your card is added, you can use a compatible device to make purchases at participating businesses.

Who can use CardHub?

CardHub is available to all F&M Bank personal banking customers who use our mobile banking app.

If I turn off my card, will automatic payments still go through?

Previously authorized recurring payments may continue to be approved after your card is turned off. If you’re concerned about a specific payment, contact F&M Bank for help.

What’s the difference between turning off my card and reporting it lost or stolen?

Turning off your card is a temporary step for when you think the card is just misplaced. You can turn it back on when you find it.

Reporting a card lost or stolen turns the card off for good and starts the replacement process. Contact F&M Bank after submitting the report so we can help with any transactions you don’t recognize and issue you a new card.

Do I need a smartphone to use CardHub?

Yes. CardHub works through the F&M Bank mobile app on a compatible iPhone or Android phone.

If you don’t have a smartphone, our team can still help you with a misplaced or stolen card by phone or in person.

Can I use CardHub for more than one card?

Yes. If you have more than one eligible F&M Bank card, CardHub lets you move between cards and manage each one separately.

What should I do if CardHub isn’t showing my card?

Make sure you’re using the latest version of the F&M Bank mobile app and have accepted the updated terms and conditions. If your card still doesn’t appear, call 1-888-478-3007 or stop by any of our three locations, and we’ll help you sort it out.
