Current Openings

Universal Banker   $17 - $18/hour 

Universal Banker will perform the full range of Teller and Personal Banker duties.  Responsible for delivering extraordinary service to both internal and external clients.  Primarily responsible for building and retaining relationships with current and prospective clients, promoting all bank products and services and responding to simple and complex customer inquiries or service requests.  Assist customers with their deposit needs to include opening and closing of deposit accounts and services.

Loan Assistant $17/hour

Primarily responsible for conducting the day to day functions of the loan operations department of Farmers & Merchants State Bank.  This includes working closely with the other loan operations associates, personal bankers and loan officers to provide a high level of service to bank customers who require assistance with new or existing loans. Actively supports management and organizational goals by focusing on Farmers & Merchants State Bank’s core values and purpose.

  • Update Insurance for customers that escrow
  • Final title tickler follow up
  • Putting together and uploading paper files
  • Sending checks and invoices to title companies
  • Follow up on outstanding items needed from lender, customer, Title Company, and others.
  • Check and scan files and loose documents.
  • Handle and process payoff requests
  • Send wires for loan files
  • General office duties: answering phones and emails, coping, scanning, and reviewing documents. 
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Two to three years of loan operations experience in documentation, policies, and procedures preferred. Customer service experience preferred.

 

Loan Processor $20- $22/hour

Primarily responsible for conducting the day to day functions of the loan operations department of Farmers & Merchants State Bank.  This includes working closely with the other loan operations associates, personal bankers and loan officers to provide a high level of service to bank customers who require assistance with new or existing loans. Actively supports management and organizational goals by focusing on Farmers & Merchants State Bank’s core values and purpose.

  • Accountable for producing the proper documentation needed for new and renewed mortgage, commercial and consumer loans.  This includes; disclosures, loan documents, final application and loan prospector.
  • Orders:  Flood Reports, Title Reports, Transcripts, Appraisals, Verifications, Subordinations, Insurance, and Payoffs.
  • Reviews files to ensure compliance with; banks procedures, secondary market guidelines and regulatory compliance.
  • Takes necessary steps to perfect the bank’s lien on all collateral.
  • Follows up on outstanding items needed from lender, customer, title company, and others..
  • Good understanding of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act, Higher-Priced Mortgage Loan Rules, and TRID.
  • Lock interest rates as directed by loan officer
  • Processing applications received through Mortgagebot
  • Uploads notes to core system accurately and promptly.
  • Sells Mortgages on Secondary Market
  • Post transactions via proof, block, and memopost for all transactions involving all loan types.
  • Handles payments, changes, corrections, and payoffs to all types of loans.
  • Conduct a variety of banking transactions including; wires, deposits, withdrawals, Cashiers checks, Fee checks, payments, advances, activating loans, etc.
  • Creates and maintains new and existing portfolio information on customers.
  • Processes necessary releases and satisfactions and closes out loan files timely.
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Two to three years of loan operations experience in documentation, policies, and procedures preferred. Customer service experience preferred.

 

Mortgage Loan Originator   $65,000 - $75,000 + Commission

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Loan Originator, who has strong communication and analysis skills to assist loan applicants in securing the ideal mortgage loan.  

The candidate we seek should be able to generate $25 million annually in new mortgage loan originations.  To achieve this the candidate must have a strong referral base (i.e. Realtors, Builders, Attorneys, Accountants, Certified Financial Planners, Civic Organizations and more).  

This individual will be a self-starter and will know what it takes to be a successful mortgage loan originator.
